This beautiful handmade linen apron dress is perfect for anyone desiring to add intention behind their work in the kitchen or around the house. These aprons come in the color cream or sage, made with linen cotton and are handmade in Vietnam. The straps are fully adjustable for a one size fits all. Front skirt has two large pockets. The tails of the apron feature an embroidered quote that reads “Remplissez-le à Nouveau de Fleurs” which translates to “fill it anew with flowers” in french.

Symbolism of the flower and quote:
The flowers embroidered on this apron were inspired by an excerpt from Saint Therese of Lisieux’s autobiography. She wrote the following excerpt while describing her preparation to receive First Holy Communion:
“I must stir up in my heart fresh transports of love and fill it anew with flowers. So each day I made a number of sacrifices and acts of love that were to be changed into so many flowers; now violets, another time roses, then cornflowers, daisies, or forget-me-nots — in a word, all nature’s blossoms were to form in me a cradle for the Holy Child.”
This apron features the exact flowers she describes here in addition to two of her other favorite flowers: poppies and purple vetch.
The tails of the apron feature an embroidered quote that reads “Remplissez-le à Nouveau de Fleurs” which translates to “fill it anew with flowers” in french.

I already own several aprons, and so although I loved the look of this one I didn't buy it for myself until I received a gift card for Mother's Day. Now this is my new favorite apron! It's absolutely lovely, great quality, and feels good to wear. I have had several people comment in how beautiful it is and I have loved sharing with them about the meaning behind it and about the spirituality of St. Therese.
